The company encountered several challenges, such as moving from a complex front-end design to improving the backend for better handling of large amounts of data. They also needed to switch their data storage from a NoSQL database to a SQL database. To manage growing user demand and background tasks, they required a system that could automatically adjust its resources. Additionally, they had to shift from an old system and cloud setup to a new one on AWS while making sure there was no interruption in service and that existing features continued to work properly.
