We developed and deployed a hardened Linux(Suse 10.1)installation with an Encrypted Root File System(EFS).The key based on hardware components. This ensures that the installation is ‘bound’ to that machine and the data is encrypted. It is the base of their custom Second Factor Authentication(2FA)software. It was developed using LUKS cryptsetup, development and deployment of ‘ready to ship’ Suse 10.1 image using a Gentoo liveCD.
