FAQ'S

 

Q: CD has been inserted in the CD-ROM but nothing happens?

A: Some systems do not allow the CD to run automatically. In that case please open Windows Explorer and browse the CD-ROM drive and double click on 'Kimaya-TPNv1.0. exe'.

 

Q: The installation failed with ".NET framework could not be set-up"?

A: If the Microsoft .NET framework cannot be installed in your system, most windows software will not work in any case. Please contact your system administrator to manually install Microsoft .NET 2.0 and then run the Kimaya™ TPN installer. On Windows XP, ensure that the system has been installed with the latest Windows Updates with at least SP2 installed. Check the service pack version from Control Panel ? System. If Windows 2003 server, please ensure the system has been updated with latest patches. At least Windows Installer 3.0 or above is installed. You may additionally have to stop the IIS server before proceeding with installation. 

 

Q: The installation failed with "Database Server could not be installed"?

A: This means that MySQL Database could not be installed. Reasons are probably that there is not enough disk space. Please install MySQL 5.0.41 community version manually. Then install Kimaya™ TPN. You can download this MySQL version from (http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/mysql/5.0.html#win32)

 

Q: Installation aborted with error 'Database Server could not be configured.'
Q: Installation aborted with error "Database Server could not be started.'
Q: Installation aborted with error 'Cannot connet to Database'.
Q: The installation failed with 'Can not configure Kimaya-TPN. Failed to populate database. Please read the documentation.'

A: Check if MySQL is installed and running. Check “Add Remove Programs” in Control Panel if 'MySQL 5.0' is installed. Check “Services” in “Administrative Tools” in Control Panel and see the status of MySQL service. If it is stopped, please start it. If the service does not start, first contact your system administrator. If all else fails, please contact support. Installation fails on Windows 2003 Server with error '.NET framework could not be setup'? Installation Failed with 'System Incompatible' error? This means that the system you are running on is not supported by Kimaya™ TPN. Please check with the system administrator if you are running the installation on a 64-bit machine. If you are, please contact support for a compatible copy.

 

Q: The installation hangs with "Launching KeyValidator.exe"?

A: Kimaya™ TPN Installation Guide Version 1.0 Copyright © 2007 Josh Software Pvt. Ltd. 8 Wait for about 2 minutes. If the 'System Incompatible' is not shown, then please contact support.

 

Q: The License window always says "Please enter a valid key"?

A: Please ensure that the product key is being entered in CAPS. Please ensure that you have the correct license key. The start of the installation shows a prompt 'Kimaya TPN is already installed! ALL YOUR DATA WILL BE LOST ON RE-INSTALLATION. Do you wish to continue?' This means that you have already installed Kimaya-TPN. If you re-install it, all your data will be lost. Please validate the reason for re-installation. If you have a valid product license key, please contact support. If your license has expired, we encourage you to upgrade your product key by contacting support. If you are only evaluating the software and do NOT care about the data, click Yes.

 

Q: The start of installation shows "A higher version of Kimaya is already installed! "?

A: A higher version of Kimaya™ is already installed. In v1.0, this error will NEVER occur.

 

Q: Cannot connect to Database. Please contact Administrator. Application will now terminate?

A: This error occurs when the database has not been configured correctly. This can happen if you already have MySQL database installed and it has a root password. Please see the Installation Guide ‘Special Instructions if database is already installed’. If the product still starts with the same error, please contact support.

 

Q: A Patient with the same name already exists. Do you want to Re-Enroll the patient?

A: To Re-Enroll press 'YES' or To Enroll the patient press 'NO'. Sometimes, patients may have the same name and sometimes the same patient may get enrolled twice! To ensure that these cases are catered to, the software checks if a patient of the same name already exists. In case, the patient record already exists, the doctor can RE-ENROLL the patient by clicking Yes. If the patient is indeed a new patient, the doctor can click ‘No’ to create a new entry for this patient.

 

Q: Changing the Name of the Hospital?

A: Suppose during installation, the Hospital Name was entered incorrectly or if the hospital name needs to be changed, this can be done. Please contact support for simple instructions on how to do this.
Forgotten administration password
If for some reason, the administration password is forgotten, it will not hamper the daily
activities. Please contact support for instructions on how to reset the password.
